Force 10

Wormshead Force 10 is the ten piece orchestral brass ensemble built around Wormshead Top Brass. This ensemble boasts even more of the very finest brass players in South Wales and the UK. Feel free to navigate to meet some of the members of the ensemble.

Wormshead Force 10 was formed to explore and perform repertoire from all eras, ranging from the Renaissance works of Gabrielli, Monteverdi and Schutz, through to modern day compositions especially written for the group by the likes of Bill Connor, Mervyn Burtch and Andrew Clifford. Add to this a vast selection of light classics, jazz and music from stage and screen and you have a variety that will appeal to the musical tastes of both young and old.

With such a varied repertoire, Wormshead Force 10 has the versatility to suit individual venues and client needs, be they recitals, educational workshops, corporate functions, weddings or ceremonial occasions. Wormshead Force 10 is also popular with choirs both as accompanist and guest artist. We can provide our own tailor made arrangements (such as Schutz Psalm 84, arranged for Swansea Bach Choir) or feature classic repertoire such as Rutter's "Gloria", Parry's "I was glad" and Bruckner's "Te Deum". We have also created a special festive Christmas repertoire!
