Music is for Everybody! - Education Projects

Wormshead Brass is committed to the promotion of brass playing in our schools and among young people in general. Schools projects form an important part of Wormshead Brass diary providing interesting and informative demonstration and education sessions in schools, colleges or youth institutions.

These projects are tailored to each school’s individual need and can be varied to include anything that is currently being studied in the school music curriculum. Similarly, promotion of the local peripatetic teacher and recruitment of new brass players can be the focus if so wished.

At Wormshead Brass we are aware of the limitations that budget can place and so we are able to visit schools either as a trio (trumpet, horn, trombone) or as a full brass quintet (two trumpets, horn, trombone, tuba).  We have noticed however, that young children are captivated by the sound of the quintet and the big bass tuba in particular!
