Wilfred Driscoll

Wilfred has played for numerous top brass bands including Tredeger, the Buy as you View Cory band and held the principal tuba chair in the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

As well as college ensembles, he also plays in the Chandos Symphony Orchestra based in Worcester and is principal tuba with the National Youth Wind Orcheatra of Great Britain.

Wilfred is also freelances in the South Wales and has worked with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Wilfred is currently in the third year of his Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Currently under the tuition of Sean O’Neil, (Formerly Principal Tuba WNO), he has been awarded a place on the college BBC National Orchestra of Wales placement scheme, and in 2004 successfully gained a place on the LSO St Luke’s Academy, a weeks worth of intensive tuition from the principal players of the LSO.

Wilfred is looking forward to a fruitful and enjoyable career in the music industry.
