Bob Ferriman

Bob Ferriman who comes from Oxford in England took up the trumpet at the age of 6. Bob played an active part in the orchestral scene in Oxford playing with many of the University and local orchestras.

Bob attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, and in his third year
he won the Best Orchestral Instrumentalist prize.

In 1980 While still in his 4th year at the Royal Academy, Bob was appointed Principal Trumpet with the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra. He remained in this position for 10 years.

In 1990 Bob was appointed Principal Trumpet of the BBC Concert Orchestra and relocated to London to fulfil his new post.

Bob's career has also taken him into the realm of film music. Bob can be heard on the soundtracks of films such as GI Jane, Man In The Iron Mask, Joan Of Ark, Romeo and Juliet etc.

Bob now lives in Swansea and enjoys a busy freelance and teaching schedule.
