MEET THE BRASS

A concert designed for primary schools. This is a bright and breezy programme designed to hold the attention of very young children, from nursery age, for 45 minutes while engaging all ages up to year 6.

Pieces are kept deliberately short (< 3 minutes) and there is lots of interaction with the audience.

Questions are pitched so that the youngest children can understand while the older ones do not feel patronised.

They are relevant to key stages 1 & 2. We explore the different instruments of the quintet, discover how they work and investigate wider questions of how music is an important part of our everyday lives
